Slide n' Dry Pegless Clothesline

This is one of those items that you don't think you'll need, or use, but then becomes something you can't believe you didn't have earlier.

We were gifted this with another purchase and honestly we were unsure about whether it would actually be any good. It seemed flimsy and light weight and I thought the clothes would just slip right off and, truth be told, it sat in the van unused for quite some time.

Usually we just use rope and pegs or if just a few items, like wet towels and bathers, we hang them off the van or a tree somewhere, but one particular trip changed everything! We had pulled up at a campsite near the beach and the kids spent all day playing in the rock pools and of course had clothes on instead of their bathers. Not sure how many clothes, plus bathers, we went through that day but obviously I wanted to hang them up to dry after a rinse off. The breeze had picked up slightly so I was concerned the clothes would just blow into the dirt if hung on the van, and the tree was too small and bushy anyway and not really any good to tie the rope onto. I was looking for a solution and remembered the Slide n' Dry tucked in the cupboard so I reluctantly suggested we try it.

Well, what do you know...... it turned out a huge success and not only did it change my opinion, but it actually got hubby's tick of approval, which, trust me, is not easy to do. 😋

The first win was, it was super easy to set up. The Occy straps at each end made it easy to attach to wherever you want to hang it, or just loop around and attach back to itself, meaning you can use it anywhere.

The second win was you can remove or add sections to make it shorter or longer to suit your needs.

The absolute BEST part was how simple it was to hang the clothes, no pegs means less fussing. You just put a corner of the item into the hole and slide it along and repeat. Who knew hanging clothes could be so easy!

And to top it off, its a lot stronger than it looks and the clothes stay put, no slipping out (unless of course like me (once), you don't pull it through far enough)! Its even strong enough for towels.

Now the Slide n' Dry Pegless Clothesline no longer sits in the cupboard unused. Its probably one of the most used items in the van that we can no longer go without. It even gets used to create shade by turning towels sideways.😜
