The twins were gifted these for their 5th birthday and I've since bought more for all 3 kids and also as gifts for friends. Who knew our 7 year old boy would also enjoy them in the car.
Lucky for me, that was a party year so as soon as I spotted the twins open them, I may have grabbed them and hid them for our car kit in the hope they wouldn't notice among all the other gifts.
They are a fantastic travelling kit as everything you need is stored in the box, it flips open so they can also lean on it to colour, and the storage container inside has its own lid to keep everything from falling out, making it perfect for car trips.
I probably wouldn't recommend them for really young kids unless under supervision because of the texta factor (don't want special drawings on back of seats etc), plus the pages can easily be torn off.
Our first trip after receiving them was only a couple of hours drive and no kidding, they coloured in them the whole way, it was one of the quietest trips we have ever had. They also got them out during the weekend to colour with their friends.
